Buttons allow links to be created and edited. A link takes the browser to another page (to the top, or to an anchor point in the page), or to an anchor point on the current page.

You can make text linkable, or an image, or a combination. The text should almost always be descriptive, not just a web address (unless this is the information you are really trying to impart). Note that if you type a web address, the editor will automatically turn it into a link, but this is not the preferred style for our website. Similarly, if you type an email address, it will be turned automatically into a Mailto: link to the address.
