If you have created a series of calendar events that repeat to some regular pattern (weekly, monthly etc.), you can edit the whole series in order to alter the details of every event, or you can edit just a single event in the series, leaving unchanged the details of other events in the series.

To change the data for the whole series:

  • In the Components menu, click JEvents to open the JEvents Control Panel;
  • Click Manage Events to display a list of all events currently in the calendar;
  • Find and click the name of the event series whose details you want to change;
  • Edit the event titlecategory, descriptionlocation and/or contact;
  • Click the Calendar tab to edit the times and/or dates of the events or the repeat frequency;
  • Click the Save & Close button.

You can also select just a single event in a series, and change its details or delete it. This has no effect on other events in the series. To do this:

  • In the Components menu, click JEvents to open the JEvents Control Panel;
  • Click Manage Events to display a list of all events currently in the calendar;
  • Find the event series, and click the list symbol in the Repeat column against the series name. This causes a list of the single events in the series to be displayed;
  • To edit one event in the series:
    • Find and click the single event in the series whose details you want to edit. This takes you into the Event Editor, where you can change the titlecategory, descriptionlocationcontactdates and/or times of the event;
    • Click the Save & Close button and confirm that you want to edit just the single event.
  • Rather than deleting an event in a series, we prefer that it is marked in the title as Cancelled. If you want to delete a single event in the series:
    • Select the check box against the event that you want to delete, and click the Delete button.
