Sutton Poyntz runs a Street Fayre every other year, which attracts large crowds of holidaymakers and locals and is always enthusiastically received. The money made is donated to charities, both national and local. The last Street Fayre was in early July, 2010; the next will be in 2012.
Other regular events run for the benefit of Sutton Poyntz villagers or for charity include:
- Scarecrow Competition, for the benefit of Waves;
- Vegetable Show;
- Plant Sale;
- Pimms & Ploughmans evening - a fairly new venture for the village;
- Village Cream Tea;
- Village Barbecue;
- Safari Supper;
- Village Coffee Mornings, on the first Friday of each month.
In June 2015, we ran a very successful Open Gardens. This will be an occasional rather than a regular event.
