2 Encouragement for small local enterprises

4 The pub is important to the village and must be supported.
Our community should also support other small local businesses, suitable for a mainly residential area, and opportunities for additional workshops should be welcomed.
We should seek improved relations with local landowners and farmers. Their rights to 28-day permitted development should not be opposed unless a clear nuisance is likely.

74 If the village is to survive (insert here examples of villages that have ‘died’) then we have to encourage in younger people to replace the older ones who have “moved on”.  They need appropriate housing, they need jobs, and they need transport to and from.  If Nissan wanted to put their next car factory at the top of Plaisters Lane we might be happy about the younger people it would attract, but there may be other aspects we’d want to address.  So yes, Employment has to be part of the Plan.
