The Sutton Poyntz Society has carried out two important village planning exercises:

  • In 1999, it produced a Village Survey, which captured many of the features that make Sutton Poyntz special, as well as the major threats to the village;
  • In 2007, it produced a Village Plan, which documented the views and aspirations of those living in or near to the village, and generated an Action Plan which has guided village strategy.

In 2016, the Society voted to write a Neighbourhood Plan for Sutton Poyntz. The resultant Plan has been approved by an Independent Examiner, and will be submitted to a village Referendum on Thursday 13th February 2020.
