The Sutton Poyntz Society has four main policy documents that define and constrain how it works:

  • Society Constitution: defines aims and objectives, and how the Society is run;
  • Data Protection Policy, created in June 2018 along with a Membership Form, so that the Society conforms with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations);
  • Code of Conduct for Committee members and meetings, created in June 2018;
  • Planning Policy: defines how we formulate responses to planning applications.

The new Planning Policy was written in 2012; it encompasses much of the material from the 1999 Village Survey, and replaces the previous Conservation PolicyPlanning Policy, and Trees Policy (N.B. look at the Trees Protection page for the legal constraints on tree cutting, pruning etc.)
