 Clockwise: From the top end of the Mill Pond, go a few yards along Mission Hall Lane, and then right into Fox Lane. This takes you past Fox Cottage to a gate into the field called Court Close

 Clockwise: Go through the gate, into the field, and up the track on the right-hand side of the field

   Anti-clockwise: At the bottom end of the field called Court Close, the track goes through a gate to the top end of Fox Lane, which takes you to the village and Mill Pond

 Clockwise: Continue up the track from Fox Cottage, and through the gate at the top of the field called Court Close

   Anti-clockwise: Follow the track along the side of the field called Court Close, towards the gate into Fox Lane

 Clockwise: Now continue to keep close to the fence, until the fence turns southwards - keep straight on to the east and up the side of the valley

   Anti-clockwise: Going down into the valley, the path will take you to the fence around where the water is extracted. Follow round the fence, keeping it on your left

   Anti-clockwise: After joining the track, keep climbing. The path down and round Spring Bottom turns off to the left here, just after the gap in the hedge.

 Clockwise: Coming down to the bottom of the field, go through the gate into White Horse Lane, and turn right towards Sutton Road.

   Anti-clockwise: The alternative route; after the second gate, turn immediately left along the track that climbs the hill.
