The Bridge Inn. A pub close to where Preston Mill used to be, on the River Jordan, and close to what is known as "The Roman Bridge" (not Roman, but at least farily ancient). The Bridge was formerly known as The Swan.

The Weir - this area between Sutton Road and the Bridge Inn consists of a number of narrow tracks and paths marked as "The Weir". In old maps, the field here was shown as "The Woore", but it has not been established whether "Woore" and "Weir" are corruptions of one another, and what "Woore" really meant.
