The Coffee Morning in aid of Motor Neurone Disease was a resounding success! So many of you attended that it was even necessary to spill over to outside! Fortunately the kitchen managed to avoid being overwhelmed and the cake and scone supplies held out to the end! I also heard that the guys and gals selling raffle tickets were kept on their toes the whole time! Thanks to all of you who came and donated, who made cakes, helped behind the scenes, or provided raffle prizes. Also to the Mission Hall Trust who waived their normal hall rental fee. What a wonderful, caring community to be part of!
An enormous total of £1380 was raised so far! Donations are still coming in from people who were unable to get there this morning.
