It's that time of year again, when the sap starts rising, new buds start bursting and all thoughts turn to the Sutton Poyntz Society Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 12 April at 7.30pm in the Mission Hall.
Attached are the minutes of last year's AGM, a copy of our Chairman's Report for this year - though you may wish to ignore this as it could spoil your enjoyment of Mike reading it out for you at the AGM - and last but not least, the Agenda.
The business is usually dealt with fairly quickly, but there are some juicy topics to do with Neighbourhood Planning, so it should be most interesting.
At the completion of the formal agenda there will be refreshments on offer - all gratis - and an opportunity to see the video of Sutton Poyntz taken by Ron Waite, publican at the Springhead, in the 1950s and 60s. This was first aired in 1976, then in 1995 and again in 2007, so if you are a long term resident you might have seen it three times already. That could include me, but if I have seen it before then I've forgotten about it. Those with better memories say it's well worth a look.
