29 September 2024 - Murderer escaped detection!
Yesterday evening's Murder Mystery Dinner was a whole load of fun - but unfortunately Sutton Poyntz's best detectives were unable to identify the culprit. Everyone had a motive for the murder and there was a bunch of accusatory letters floating around, but it seems Marlene Deepditch was innocent, as were Orson Wales and Jilly Gooleys. Most of us thought Phillippe le Pétomane was guilty but in the end no team took the prize for it was Matilde, the victim's sister-in-law who did the dastardly deed. Thanks to all who attended, enjoyed the delicious food - and I think some of you might even have followed the plot. We raised an impressive £300 for the Air Ambulance!
(Incidentally, do have a google at the true story of Le Petomane - the Moulin Rouge's most profitable act ever.)
Anyway... if you missed the Murder Mystery then you can still do your bit to help the Air Ambulance by coming to Friday's Coffee Morning. As well as all the usual social and culinary delights, one or more of the A-A volunteers will attend to say a few words, there'll be a splendid raffle and all profits will go towards this essential service.
