I'm sure many of you have already heard that Jean died late last week. She was a much loved village personality, always happy to pass the time of day on walks round the village, or at village events, or as she carefully tended each bloom in her lovely front garden. Sadly, serious illness in the last few months had robbed us all of the pleasure of her company. She will be very much missed, and I'm sure the village will want to pass on condolences to her family.

 

The memorial service will be at St Andrew's Church, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday 27th January. This will be followed by a service at the Crematorium, for family and close friends only. For others, refreshments will be available after the memorial service, at the Spice Ship.

 

I'm sure we will have a good attendance from the village, to say our last farewells.
