30 March 2016 - Wynne Palframan 1941-2016
Dear all,
I'm sure many of you have already heard that, sadly,Wynne died late last week.
Wynne and her brother were born in Ormskirk, Stockport. In her late teens she worked for many years as a receptionist in the Kings Arms Hotel in Dorchester, making many good friends whilst there. Later, as a single mother with two daughters, she ran a successful dress shop in Wath-on-Dearne, north of Rotherham, but moved back to Dorset in 1995 to be with her friends of earlier days. With two grandsons and two granddaughters she still found time to support the Sutton Poyntz Society over many years, tending the flowers in the flower tub that forms the welcome to Sutton Poyntz and delivering, literally in all weathers, the Society Newsletters to ensure that her round was one of the first to receive their copies. Despite what life threw at her she was always a positive, happy and fun-loving character. Despite the sadness of her passing, her family and friends will remember and laugh at experiences they enjoyed with her. She will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
There will be a service at St Andrew's Church, at 12.45 on Wednesday 6 April.
