28 July 2016 - Pimms and the Neighbourhood Forum
Dear all,
Ploughman's and Pimms
Just a reminder about the Ploughman's and Pimms Party at the Mission Hall on the Saturday, 6 August, from 5pm until 8pm. What could be better than a ham or cheese ploughman's with a hunk of homemade bread made by the BCB Irregulars (BBC are Balfey's Community Bakers) and a glass Pimms including all the usual fruit and greenery? If you tried the latter in Richard and Judy's garden at the Fayre then you'll know how nice it is. The cost is only £10 for adults, £4 for under-18s, free for under-3s. To help with numbers for the catering, please book your tickets asap by ringing Sue on 834209 or emailing
Neighbourhood Forum
The Sutton Poyntz Society’s application to become a neighbourhood forum is with the Weymouth & Portland District Council. Comments on this application close on Friday 5 August – the application details can be viewed either on line at https://www.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/article/421795/West-Dorset-Weymouth--Portland-Neighbourhood-Area-Designations (down below the Chickerell application details)
or by contacting Mike Blee or Bill Egerton. Representations can of course be made either in favour or against the Society’s proposal.
The Society feels this is an important step so that the recently established independent Sutton Poyntz Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will be able to gather all villagers views on the way facilities and planning in the village should continue to be developed to enhance the neighbourhood in which we live.
Regards
Chris
