A reminder that Bill Egerton will be presenting his 'Owners of Sutton Poyntz' talk at 7.30pm this coming Wednesday, 26 October, in the Mission Hall, with free admission, and refreshments after. When first announced Bill promised us some previously unheard additional material, which includes, he now tells me, saucy (my word, not his) details about the Bishop of Exeter's steward's shoes - and if that doesn't arouse your interest, nothing will. Looks like a good turn-out is assured, but there will still be plenty of room for anyone who would like to turn up on the night. So come along and be one of the first to learn of the impact that the steward's shoes had on the life and sole (groan) of the residents of Sutton Poyntz.
