13 March 2017 - Pond clean up and AGM
Hi everyone
Volunteers are needed for the annual pond clean-up. It will take place on Saturday 18 March starting at 10am from the Top o' the Pond. Is it really a year since the last one? Suitable attire would be wellies and clothing that does not degrade on contact with pond water. Some secateurs for cutting down extraneous plant life and black bin liners for collecting it would be useful accessories.
Advance notice to keep the evening of Wednesday 12 April clear, for this is the date of the Sutton Poyntz Society Annual General Meeting. In addition to the usual, short, business agenda - and there is still time to volunteer to become a committee member - there are other interesting items planned. These may include a visit by Simon Newport to explain changes to the Village bus service, a report from the Neighbourhood Forum consultant on the way ahead (with mention of alternatives open to the village when the new Unitary Authorities come into being), a film of days past during which refreshments will be on offer. All in all an evening not to be missed. See you there.
Regards
Chris
