tonys logo 27 November 2019 - Christmas is coming

Dear all,

We always seem to be surrounded by reminders of how fast time is passing, and another cropped up just recently This was an announcement that Trinity Street Christmas Trees is celebrating thirty years of trading with a number of carbon-reducing initiatives. Owners Peter Hyde, wife Tamzin and their two daughters are local residents. In the years when Sutton Poyntz had a Christmas Tree on the village green, it was Peter and his business who supported the event. So many congratulations on thirty years, thanks for helping out the village in the past and well done with the environmental measures, which have included planting their own Christmas tree farm in Dorset!

And while on the subject of the approaching festivities, the next Coffee Morning in the Mission Hall on Friday 6 December between 10.30am and 12 noon will be Christmas themed, and what’s more the refreshments will be free! Yes, that’s right, your favourite beverage and a piece of delicious cake – including some specially baked for the occasion (rumours of a unique Stollen are rife) – will cost you absolutely nothing. This event is the one where the gentlemen take over service from the ladies, and will be marked with the wearing of festive hats and jumpers. If you want to join in the fun – though it is not obligatory – dig out that Christmas Reindeer Roll-neck or Snow Scene Sweater and wear it on the day.

Best regards

Chris
