3 December 2019 - Christmas
Dear all,
Don’t forget the special Coffee Morning in the Mission Hall this coming Friday 6 December between 10.30am and 12 noon. Special because it will be Christmas themed, because your coffee (or in my case, very weak tea) plus piece of delicious homemade cake will be free and because you will be served by the gentlemen, not the ladies on this occasion – a chance perhaps to compare the quality of service? I will be wearing one of my three Christmas jumpers – haven’t decided which yet – and you can do the same if you like. I hear that the hall will be decorated, and that there might also be some discrete Christmas music in the background. A free start to Christmas this Friday morning at the Mission hall. Don’t miss it.
Oh yes, after my mention of Peter Hyde and family with their Christmas tree plantation in Dorset, a number of you pointed out that a picture of Peter and his trees appeared in no less a publication than the Times newspaper. Unfortunately there was no mention of Sutton Poyntz!
And if you have a feeling of déjà vu regarding the subjects of this Newsbite, you are right. They are the same as the last one. It is because three of you out there – you know who you are – have the same memory problems as I do and need a reminder.
Best regards
Chris
