You will recall that a huge lorry trying to make a left-turn from Plaisters Lane into Coombe Valley Road (yes, really) broke an arm off the finger post.  (Or did it break a finger off the arm post?)

  

It's taken some time to get it repaired properly by the Dorset expert (Roger Bond of Normtec), and apply for grants (from CPRE and Weymouth Town Council), but Peter Jones's unstinting work has succeeded and it was reinstated to its former glory last week.  A gathering of the contributors and others involved will be held later this month.  

 

Thanks to everyone involved in the project.  Our lasting thanks go to Peter!  Now we can find our way to Dorchester without the sat-nav.
