The Mission Hall had building works done in January/February 2025 - floor joist repairs, new lighting and heating, double-glazed windows, skirting board, new guttering, wall plastering and flooring in the old WC, roof work, loft insulation, woodworm treatment, a fire door exit, plus decoration throughout. At the same time, new chairs and additional tables were purchased. The work was partly funded by grants from the National Lottery Community Fund, the Valentine Charitable Trust, the Dr & Mrs Alfred Darlington Trust, and the Britford Bridge Trust, a legacy from the Rev William Kelly, donations in memory of Barbara Harrison, and donations from the Victorian Street Fayre and from the Sutton Poyntz Society (who also donated the new tablecloths). We are grateful to all these organisations.

A party on the 30th April 2011, in honour of the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, attended by over 200 villagers.

Here is a collection of photos of the village, old and recent. We would very much welcome additions to this collection, for recent events missing from here or illustratiing the history of the village. Please get in touch if you have photos you would be happy to offer.

Some old photos of a pond clearance in the 1950's, provided to us by Guy Bridge. This dates from before the middle cottages by the pond were demolished and replaced (with good care) by the Saunders family.
