PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE, COOMBE VALLEY ROAD
DORSET COUNCIL have received an application from Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to close COOMBE VALLEY ROAD, PRESTON, WEYMOUTH between its junction with Rhosewood Drive and no. 87 Coombe Valley Road, a distance of approximately 430 metres.
The closure has been requested to allow Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to remove electricity sub-station. These works are programmed to commence from 23 October 2023 until 25 October 2023 between 0900 and 1600.

B3155 GREENHILL - OVERCOMBE, WEYMOUTH - NIGHT WORKS
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3155 GREENHILL - OVERCOMBE, WEYMOUTH between Greenhill and Preston Road as indicated by signs on site, for a distance of 2100 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation from 2200 on 6 September 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the
works will be completed by 0500 on 7 September 2023. This Order will enable Kays Highways to carry out carriageway preservation works.
